DPI
Lighting Solutions and Air Gaspers
DPI offers individual
halogen and LED lighting solutions, plus
an array of complementary air gaspers. Halogen
lighting provides an attractive “white” source
with a fully color-corrected diachronic coated
reflector. The high-color rendering index
faithfully reproduces the colors of the interior.
In contrast,
LED lighting offers a “cooler” color
source with significant power reductions. Integrated
electronics provide on, off, and variable intensity
options with no external controllers.
Complementary air
gaspers provide a cosmetic matched set to your lighting
assemblies. Special construction techniques reduce
air noise by as much as 10 dB.

Halogen Lighting
DPI Halogen lights operate directly on 28VDC power and are
typically two times brighter than conventional incandescent
reading lights. Spot or flood patterns are available with
diffusing lenses. Full range of motion and easy installation
make this a great choice for any lighting configuration. Several versions are available under PMA.

LED Lighting
Individual LED Read Lights operate directly on 28VDC and feature
integrated electronics for on, off, and variable intensity
control, if desired. The “Mod-U-Lite” Series incorporates
an innovative modular design that allows for easy implementation
of new features and product improvements, eliminating the
need to remove, purchase, and reinstall complete assemblies.
DPI’s standard offering includes a high-bright, white LED. Units consisting of white and red LEDs are also available,
with integrated electronics that allow for color selection
and intensity control via a sequential, discrete input. The
latter solution is appropriate for low light applications,
such as jump seats and lavatories.

Light Dimming
The 494-311 controller provides low drop-out voltage conversion
from a pulse-width modulation signal to drive an incandescent
or halogen light assembly in a series of eight steps. It’s
equipped with a soft-start circuit to reduce the inrush
current. The high input impedance port allows multiple
daisy-chained units when controlling multiple lights at
the same time. The PWM signal may be driven from the SL-1369
Lighting Control Module or a SP67 SmartPack™.
