Smart Packs
The SmartPack™ connects any DPI switch panel to the SmartLink-III™
Cabin Management System. Integrated relays, pulse-width
modulation, and discrete inputs can be used to control
a wide variety of local functions with no extra wiring.
Due to its compact design, a SmartPack can be located very
close to the loads it controls, keeping harness weight
low and wire runs short.
The unique redundancy in design keeps all local functions
online in the event of a buss failure. With firmware download
capability, local switch panel controls can be quickly reconfigured,
making expansion easier than ever before.

Relays
DPI offers a variety of solutions that allow various load controls
for unique applications. Our most popular relay controller,
the SL-1955, consists of high- and low-current relays with
discrete input capability.

Programmable I/O
The SL-1952 module allows almost
any type of device to be integrated and interfaced into the SmartLink-III
Cabin Management System. Up to 32 channels may be software
configured as inputs or outputs, making it easy to handle
all your custom switching needs with room to grow. The module
is lightweight and compact for easy installation, and only
a few connections are required to interface the module onto
the SmartLink-III buss.

Indirect Lighting and Temperature
The SL-8503 module offers indirect
lighting and temperature control. Lighting features include
two lighting control channels with 20A On/Off power relays
and an eight-step, isolated, single wiper potentiometer. The
temperature control channel has a 16-step, isolated, dual wiper
potentiometer. Additional auxiliary relays are available to
control other functions, and discrete inputs can be configured
in any desired combination via SmartLink-III software. High-current
relays are used to insure the highest reliability.

Light Dimming and Lighting Control
The 494-311 Light Dimming Module provides low drop-out
voltage conversion from a pulse-width modulation signal
to drive a light assembly in a series of eight steps. It’s
equipped with a soft-start circuit to reduce the inrush
current, and the high-input impedance port allows multiple
daisy-chained units when controlling multiple lights at
the same time. The PWM signal may be driven from the SL-1369
Lighting Control Module or a SP67 SmartPack.

Temperature Readout
The SL-1953 4-Channel Cabin Temperature Readout Module
provides temperature sensing and averaging at five-second
intervals for up to four separate control zones. The unit
uses one digital, 3-wire thermometer sensor per zone. The
module is compact and lightweight and interfaces with the
SmartLink-III
Cabin Management System.

Interphone
The SL-1963 provides PA and cockpit audio routing and interface
into the Cabin Management System. An integrated earphone
amplifier is included, providing automatic level and volume
control of the interphone audio. All level control and power
settings are stored for recall.

Touch Screen
The SL-1981V module allows the TSV0104W 10-inch touch screen
to communicate with the SmartLink-III buss. The SL-1981V
incorporates an isolation transformer to reduce the effects
of ground loops and noise, and allow the touch screen to
display NTSC and PAL video inputs. The SL-1981V can track
and respond to 255 different button functions on the touch
screen, while monitoring the buss for events related to
the touch screen’s function set. This module also
features an audio output for the touch screen.
